Synopsis

Sometime during the 22nd century, young engineer Elwan contemplates their future as something stirs in them. Despite a calm and happy life in their coastal town, they feel a call towards the land—to distant forests and mountains they never visited before.

Maybe the time has come for them to follow the visions and the mysterious "Noise", with the help of a childhood friend and odd characters met on the way.

Themes

The story is meant to explore the feelings of a "call to wilderness" and human relationships to nature. It also questions critical themes like water scarcity, climate change, and the politics of energy availability. Both Elwan's town and the places they see display possible alternatives to our current ways of life regarding society and technology.

Elwan, the main character, in a high-visibility work uniform.
